My name is Pankaj Sharma. I was born and raised in the town of Rishikesh, the world Yoga capital in Northern India, at the foot of the Himalayas. Now I am the owner and teacher of Patanjali Yoga and this is my story. Growing up in this spiritually charged place on the banks of the holy Ganges, I started studying yoga at the age of 13 years. At first only to gain flexibility because my dream was to become a dancer and I felt I was not flexible enough.
